Son of August Alm and Christine Peterson Alm. According to family stories he and sister Lillie were the first two buried in the cemetery after August donated the land. They died a day apart from Scarlet Fever according to the Forest Lake Death Ledger. His brother Ed was named for him and changed Edwin to Edward. His stone said brother, it was next to his sister Lillie Helma's stone in front of the Alm stone for their parents.
