Mamie L. McCracken

Mamie L., daughter of Cass and Minnie Fate Liming was born July 15, 1881 in Van Buren county, Iowa. She died Dec. 3rd, 1967 in Memorial Hospital, Keosauqua at age 86.

She married Jo McCracken Oct. 26, 1904. To this union five children were born: Dwight of Cantril, Ia., Stuart of Eureka, Mont., Mark of Jeffersonville, Ind., Mrs. Lawrence Murphy (Velda) and Mrs. Isaac Loeffler (Esther), both of Keosauqua. Also nine grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren; four surviving sisters, Mabel Mangus and Lola Jordon of Florida, Susie Seeberg of Chicago, Ill., and Thera Behrens of Kennewick, Wash.; a number of nieces and nephews.

She was a member of the Keosauqua congregatiton(sp) Jehovah's Witnesses.

Services were held at the Catcott Funeral Home, Keosauqua, on Dec. 5, 1967, in charge of Lother Lengtat. Interment in Bentonsport Cemetery.
