Wife of Samuel Norton. Census records show her in Freedom, NY in 1865 and living with her son Samuel in Centerville, NY in 1870. The 1880 census (compiled earlier, apparently) says that she was born in Vermont. Her grave has not yet been found. I have done some searching of the graveyards in Centerville but many of them are almost simply rubble at this point. She may not have had a stone in the first place.
