Service to Honor Drowned Sailor.

Full military honors will be given Quartermaster 1/C Dean Ellison, 3138 S. E. 82d Avenue, who was drowned at Milne Bay, New Guinea, March 18, 1945 at funeral services Monday at Colonial Mortuary. Burial will be in the veterans' plot of Lincoln Memorial Park.

Ellison was born at Wymore, Neb., August 21, 1919. He came to Portland in August, 1937 and was employed by Libby, McNeill and Libby until 1942. Mr. Ellison enlisted in the navy in 1942 and took radio training in San Diego and Texas A and M College.

Ellison was assigned to the USS Pollux and served in both the Atlantic and Pacific theaters. In October, 1944, he was married to Virginia Justis of McMinnville.

Survivors include the widow, one brother, Lester L. Ellison of Beatrice, Neb., and three sisters, Mrs. Wilma Rossi, Oak Creek, Colo., Mrs. Beula Wasserman and Ina M. Ellison.

The body of the veteran of three years' service in the Navy was recently returned to the United States.
