Obituary: "Services will be at 2 P.M. EST Monday at West Liberty Christian Church for Mrs. Mayme Alice Coleman, 85, of Covington. She died Friday (January 20, 1984) at Covington Manor Nursing Center. She had been a patient at the nursing center for three weeks and ill two years. The Revs. Wayne Shaw and Robert Henrich will officiate. Visitation will be from 8-9 P.M. Sunday at Bodine-Shelby Funeral Home, Covington. Burial will be in West Liberty Cemetery.
Born January 27, 1898, in Vermilion County, Illinois, she was a daughter of Jacob and Eliza Eaton Niccum. She married Paul Irvin Coleman December 12, 1925. He died in 1970. Survivors include two sons, Paul Jr. of rural Rockville, Indiana and Richard H. of rural Covington; two daughters, Mrs. Doris Holt of Covington and Mrs. Dorothy Lacy of Prattville, Alabama; two sisters, Mrs. Ruth Wooster of Gessie, Indiana and Miss Marie Niccum of Danville; 19 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews."
