David Frank Crane
FAIRVIEW — David Frank Crane 81, of Clinton, passed away at 11:28 p.m. Friday, July 15, 2011, at his home surrounded by his beloved family. Born in Clinton, on July 1, 1930, to James M. Crane and Margaret Jordan Crane.
David was employed by the Milwaukee Railroad, Prudential Insurance Company for 31 years, First Financial Bank for 21 years, and Fairview Park Town Council for 28 years. He was a charter member of Wayside United Methodist Church, a member of Masonic Social Lodge 86, Zorah Shrine, Scottish Rite, and Low 12 club.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Johanna Carol Jordan; and great-grandson, Coran Thomas Brown.
He is survived by his wife of 60 plus years, Bertha (Beth) Botner Crane of Clinton; two sons, Aaron B. Crane and wife Anita of Terre Haute and Evinn A. Crane of Clinton; daughter, Christi A. Chaney and husband Roy of Clinton; granddaughter, Dana L. Brown and husband Travis; three great-grandchildren, Rylan David, Kadian Laura, and Taran Chaney Brown; a sister, Faye Ernestine Brown; and nieces and nephews.
Cremation will be arranged by Frist Funeral Home in Clinton. There will be a Masonic service at Frist Funeral Home, 458 Blackman St., in Clinton, Thursday, July 21, 2011, at 7 p.m. A memorial service will be at Wayside United Methodist Church in Clinton, on Friday, July 22, 2011, at 11 a.m. Pastor Allen Relford will conduct the memorial service. Burial will be at Helt's Prairie Cemetery in Hillsdale, at a later date with a brief service preceding the burial.
