Funeral services for Emma M. Barnett, 85, of 7106 Tall Cedars Estates, Ferndale, will be at 1:30 pm Wed at the Chapel of Westford Funeral Home with the Rev. Colin Campbell officiating. Mrs. Barnett died Thurs at a local nursing home.
She was born Emma Meyers on June 29, 1905 in Millet, Alberta. She moved to Whatcom County in 1923 and married Horace Barnett on Nov 10, 1929. He died in 1987.
Mrs. Barnett attended Western Washington State College and Success Business College. She and her husband owned a motel.
She was a member of the St. Joseph Hospital Orthopedic Guild. She also enjoyed gardening and traveling to Alaska and Mexico with her husband.
Survivors include a sister, Arpa Silver of Calgary, Alberta; a brother, Walter Meyers of Millet, Alberta; and numerous nieces and nephews.
