Bratz, Florence A.

Florence A. Bratz, age 85, a former Valders resident, died peacefully Sunday evening, March 23, 2014 with her family by her side at the Manitowoc Health & Rehabilitation Center.

She was born on September 13, 1928 in Hilbert, daughter of the late Albert and Mathilda (Bratz) Moschel. On November 16, 1946 she married Raymond Bratz at St. John / St. James Lutheran Church, Reedsville. He preceded her in death on September 22, 2003. Florence was employed for many years at Mirro Aluminum Company, retiring in 1990. She was a member of the Ladies Aid at Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church and also the Auxiliary Legion. Besides her love for her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren, she touched the lives of many people, especially her caregivers while she was still in her own home. Ma enjoyed watching the Golden Girls, games shows and treasured the moments she played cards (Rummy), bingo (Bingo Queen), baking, gardening, feeding the birds and her lap buddy Ranger. Florence never once doubted her strong faith in the Lord, which she also instilled in her children.

Survivors include four sons and daughters-in-law and three daughters and sons-in-law: Neil & Judy Bratz, Kiel, Randy & Pam Bratz, Valders, Sandy & John Skidmore, Manitowoc, Pam & Larry Allen, Utica, Ohio, Cheryl Bratz, Manitowoc, Dale & Lori Bratz, Chilton, and Rick & Audrey Bratz, Valders. She was the proud grandmother of 29 grandchildren and many great grandchildren. She is also survived by one sister: Delores Krueger, Manitowoc; two brothers and a sister-in-law: Mike & Nancy Moschel, Chilton, Fritz Moschel, Mishicot; and a special person who Ma also considered as a daughter: Mary Seefeldt. Also surviving is a brother-in-law: Lawrence (Sarah) Bratz, Reedsville; a sister-in-law: Ruthie Panosh, Manitowoc, along with nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She was also preceded in death by three sons: Specialist 4 Wayne A. Bratz 1969, Dennis Bratz 1993, Gary Bratz 2013; a grandson: Clay Davis Bratz 1991; her mother-in-law and father-in-law: Emma & Adolph Bratz; two sisters: LaVern Krueger and Baby Moschel; a brother-in-law: Vernon Krueger; a sister-in-law: Diane Moschel; two brothers-in-law: Theodore Bratz and James Bratz; and three sisters-in-law and four brothers-in-law: Sylvia & Elmer Behnke, Mabel & Lester Buboltz, Luella & Everette Wagner and Harold Panosh.

Funeral Services will be held at 11:30 a.m. Saturday, March 29, 2014 at Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, town of Liberty. Officiating at the Service will be Pastor Gregory Pope with burial to follow in the church cemetery.

The family will greet relatives and friends at Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, town of Liberty, from 9:00 a.m. Saturday, March 29, 2014 until 11:15 a.m.
