Gustof Aspegren was born in Hult, Askero Soken, Sweden, January 31, 1843. He came to America in 1868 at about twenty-five years of age. He stopped for some time in Illinois and while there was married to Anna Erickson in Andover, Ill., December 16, 1873. In the winter of 1878 he moved to Nebraska settling on a farm about two miles north-west of Saronville. He and his wife both joined the Saronville Methodist Church on April 7, 1878. He had been a faithful and conscientious member and attendant of the church, a real Christian father, friend and neighbor.
He moved into Saronville in 1918, where he lived up to the time of his earthly departure. He passed away at his home in Saronville, May 10th at an attained age of 87 years, 3 months and 9 days.
Mr. Aspegren leaves to mourn his departure, his wife, two sons, Edmond of Saronville and Albert of Lincoln; an adopted daughter in California, and many other relatives, friends and neighbors.
