Funeral services will be held this afternoon at Kansas for Clyde Butler, 56, who died quite suddenly Wednesday morning. Mr. Butler was driving his car down South Central when he became ill and immediately stopped his car. Dr. C. M. Harris was called to the scene but was unable to save the man. The body was taken to Markwell Funeral Home and later to the Forbes-Hutchens Funeral Home in Kansas. Mr. Butler was well known in Casey, having lived there a number of years before moving to Kansas.

He is survived by his widow and one daughter, Mrs. Lois Anderson of Arcola. He leaves one granddaughter, also of Arcola, four brothers, Jack of Arcola, Ben of Indianapolis, Everett of Charleston and Barnard of Terre Haute. He has one sister, Mrs. Sarah Grant of Terre Haute. The deceased is also survived by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Charles Butler, who live east of Casey.
