Funeral services for Thomas W. (Tom) Balderson, 83, of Davisville, Rt. 1, who died Monday at the Worthington Manor Nursing Home after a lengthy illness, will be conducted Thursday at 1:30 p.m. at the Ogdin Funeral Home.
The Rev. Melvin Conley will officiate and burial will be in the Pleasant Ridge Cemetery.
He was born in Jackson county, June 23, 1889, son of the late William and Sarah Ward Balderson and was a farmer. He was preceded in death by three children, two grandchildren, two sisters and three brothers.
Mr. Balderson is survived by four daughters, Mrs. Velma Metz, Mrs. Genevieve Watkins, and Mrs. Amilie McGary, all of Parkersburg, and Mrs. Esther Battin of Vienna; three sons, Raymond and Leon, both of Parkersburg, and Carl of Hollywood, Fla.; one brother, Watt of Belpre; 25 grandchildren and 37 great-grandchildren.
