FORT WORTH - Marjie Smithers Jack, a retired credit supervisor for Montgomery Ward Co., died Friday at her Fort Worth home. She was 77.

Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Laurel Land Funeral Home on Crowley Road. Burial will be in Laurel Land Memorial Park.

Mrs. Jack was born in Snyder and had lived in Fort Worth for 44 years.

She had received a special award for more than 1, 000 hours of volunteer work at Harris Hospital.

Mrs. Jack was the widow of James Bradford Jack and a member of University Baptist Church.

Survivors: Son, Major Jim Jack of Fort Worth; daughter, Vera Jack Kimmel of Alvarado; three sisters, Vera Wolf of Nunda, N.Y., Vada Cramer of Houston and Janabel Reed of Price; eight grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
