Funeral services were held for Mrs. Jos. Jankowski Thursday, Oct. 12, at 9:30 a.m. at the St Francis Church with Rev. A Jarzemski officiating. Interment was made at the St. Francis Cemetery.
Anna Maciejewski daughter of Michael and Jadwiga Maciejewski, was born in Poznan, Poland, July 16, 1876. When about six years old she came to this country and lived in Michigan for a short time. She then moved to Nebraska with her parents and has lived in this community ever since. On October 25, 1894, she was united in marriage to Joseph Jankowski at St. Anthony's church in Posen, Nebraska. To this union were born nine children. Mrs. Jankowski was a devout Christian and member of the Catholic church. She took active part in the Holy Rosary Sodality of the St. Francis church. She was preceded in death by her husband and also two children, Boleslaw and Ann Marie [sic-Alice}, who died in infancy. At the time of her death, Mrs. Jankowski was 68 years, 2 months and 19 days of age.
She is survived by her seven children: Mrs. Clara Thomas, North Platte; Mrs. Pauline Kalkowski, Lynch, Nebr.; Anton S. Jankowski, Ashton; Alexander J. Jankowski, Harwood, Md; Thomas J. Jankowski, Annapolis, Md.; Mrs. Regina Gdanitz, Farwell, Nebr.; Andrew L. Jankowski, Los Angeles, Calif.; seven grandchildren and one brother, John Maciejewski.
