Her parents came through Ellis Island in the winter of 1906. She was born & raised on a farm near Antigo, WI., the 6th of 9 children. She escaped to the big cities of Chicago, Washingto, D.C. with her sisters and older brother, then made her way to Sacramento after she married in 1945. She enjoyed square dancing, outdoor activities. She was active in her church, Our Lady of Lourdes, & at Senior Gleaners. She joins her late husband, Glen (dec 1989). She leaves her neighbor of 60 years, Irene; a brother: George Schmiester); son Dan, daughter Gail(Rick); 2 grandchildren & 1 gr-grandchild, & other family members.
Mass of Christian Burial: August 12, 2011, 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Lourdes Church, Sacramento, CA. Interment at Calvary Cemetery.
