"Earl Barnett Fallwell, second child of Elisha 'Liege' Barnett Fallwell and Mosella Fallwell, was born August 28, 1895, at 1100 E. First St., Austin, Travis County, Texas. As a youngster he sold newspapers after school at the Train Depot in Austin, Texas. He entered the U.S. Army at Houston, Texas, on May 17, 1916. He served as a chauffeur on the Texas-Mexico Border during the Pancho Villa campaign. Because of his physical condition, he was discharged on September 10, 1916, as a Private of Co. G, 4th Regiment, Texas Infantry.

He met Laura Beatrice Stoody while working in a fair selling balloons in Dallas and they were married in Ft. Worth,Texas on Feb. 3, 1917.

He worked for the Railway Express Agency in Dallas as a rail clerk for about 8 years. In the late 1920's he worked for Texas Bitulithic Co. and Vilbig Bros. as a dump truck drive in Dallas, Texas. In the 1930's he start work as a heavy equipment operator in the construction industry. During World War II he worked as a civilian assembling cranes and drag lines in coal fields and ports in various parts of England.

Earl died December 28, 1959, of a heart attack while at work on a building at Field St. and Cedar Springs Rd. in Dallas,Texas. He is buried in Restland Cemetery, Dallas, Texas, next to his wife, Laura Beatrice. He was a continuous member of the International Union of Operating Engineers, Local #714, from February 1, 1936, holding various offices in the Union and was a member of the Oak Cliff Masonic Lodge #705 from Dec. 16, 1947, until his death. His last address was 704 Martinique, Dallas, Texas."
