Adrienne Thompson Bailey, age 81, of S. Park Street, Asheboro died Saturday, August 6, 2011 at Randolph Hospital, Asheboro. Mrs. Bailey was born September 25, 1929 in Buncombe County, NC, the daughter of Frederick DeLong and Ruth Hurst Thompson.

She is survived by daughter: Sarah Bailey Kayan and husband Ali of Greensboro; sons: Jonathan Bailey and wife Johna of Greenvillle, SC, David Adams Bailey and wife Sheila of Asheboro, and Benjamin Bailey of Summerville, SC; 5 grandchildren; 1 great grandchild.

The family will receive friends Sunday, August 7, 2011 from 6 to 8 PM at Pugh Funeral Home, 437 Sunset Avenue, Asheboro, NC. A memorial service will be held Monday, August 8, 2011 at 11:00 AM at First Presbyterian Church, 420 West Walker Ave., Asheboro with Rev. Brian Gawf officiating. Mrs. Bailey will have a private burial in Magnolia Cemetery, Charleston, SC at a later date beside her late husband Rev. Dean A. Bailey.
