Helen Guy 72 of 2740 E. Hamilton Road, formerly of 131 Woodland Drive Alpena passed away Thursday, Sept 20, 2001 at the home of her son Ricky.
She was born Helen King on May 16 1929 in Alpena. ON March 6, 1954 she married Donald Guy in Pinconning. He preceded her in death on Oct 31, 1992. Mrs. Guy was employed at Alpena General Hospital in the maintenance department and also owned and operated Rainbow concessions until retiring in 1997.
Mrs. Guy was a member of the Alpena Reorganized Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.
Surviving are two sons, Jerry W. (Jeanne) of Ossineke and Ricky L. (Lisa) of Alpena; two daughters, Sandra (Mrs. James) Sharpe of Hubbard Lake and Karen (Mrs. Robert) Hall of Alpena; a stepdaughter, Bonnie (Mrs. Nelson) Farrier of Hillman; 11 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; a brother, four sisters; and several nieces and nephews.
Preceding her in death was a stepson, Gregory Guy.
Friends called at the Bannan Funeral Home on Friday and may call from 2-0 P.M. today (Saturday) Funeral services will take place Sunday at the funeral home at 1 P.M. with Pastor Lynn Field officiating.
Memorials; Hospice of Northeast Michigan or the Alzheimer's Association. Interment: Pilgrims Rest Cemetery.
