Services for Thomas A. Cook were Saturday, Oct. 12 at 11 a.m. in the Manila LDS Ward
Chapel. Bishop Glen Tinker officiated. Burial was in the Manila Cemetery.
Cook, 71, of Manila, Utah, died Thursday, Oct. 10, 1985 in the Central Utah Health Center in Orem, Utah, after a lengthy illness.
He was born Nov. 13, 1913 in Helper, Utah, a son of William and Emma Myrtle Tidwell Cook.
He married Wanda Irene Workman March 30, 1935, in Duchesne, Utah.
Their marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple.
He was reared, educated and lived in Wellington, Utah, until 1934 when he moved to Manila.
He worked as a coal miner and retired from the United Mine Workers after 29 years. He also ranched. Cook was a member of the LDS Church where he had been active in elder's quorum. At the time of his death, he held the office of high priest.
He is survived by his wife of Manila; two sons, Larry R. Cook of Price, Utah, and Dean T. Cook of McKinnon; three daughters, Mrs. Bert (Yvonne) Lamb of Robertson, Mrs. Lee
(Connie) Reed of Manila and Mrs. Dallas (Delores) Aman of Clawson, Utah, 17 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren; four brothers, Carl Cook of Tacoma, Wash.; Neldon Cook of Mesa, Ariz., Mervin Cook of Wellington, Utah, and Marion Cook of Price; three sisters, Mrs. Ted (Annie) Snyder of Wellington, Mrs. Arden (Ruby) Livingston of Price and
Mrs. Don (Shirley) King of East Carbon City, Utah.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by one sister, Edna Johnson.
