Following information has been supplied by Pamela Myers-Grewell.

Abraham Dolby is buried as A. Dolby in the Old Methodist Church Cemetery, with a tree growing out of his head. Clarion Co. Veterans Administration has recorded Abraham Dolby, served in Co. B Unattached, information supplied by A.G. Dolby, in 1935.

Son, John Peter Dolby's application for Orphans Pension, states Abraham Dolby, was drafted at Reading, Berks Co., Pennsylvania, on October 16, 1862, in: Luthers Independent Co. B. PA. Inf. Drafted Militia, rank, Sgt. and was honorably discharged on July 23, 1863. He was almost 40 yrs old when he was drafted.
When Abraham Dolby was born in 1823, his father, Thomas, was 21 and his mother, Rachael, was 16. He married Catharine Dampsman on January 5, 1854. He then married Sarah Ann Grant and they had nine children together. He died on March 2, 1884, in Clarion, Pennsylvania, at the age of 61, and was buried there.
