CAVE SPRINGS — Rubon "R.F." Reeves, 86, of Cave Springs died Aug. 12, 2011, at Circle of Life Hospice in Springdale. He was born Nov. 23, 1924, in Wellington, Texas, to Leonard and Doshia Kessee Reeves.

He served in the Army during World War II. He worked in the gas and oil industry for both Richfield (Arco) Oil and Mobil, and later owned and operated several service stations in California. He was a member of the First Assembly of God.

Survivors include his wife, Paula Reeves of the home; three children, Brenda Nowicki and husband Dennis of Dallas, Mark Reeves and wife Debbie of Cave Springs, Denise McIntosh of Plano, Texas; five grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Heritage Funeral Home in Springdale.



Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Wednesday at Springdale First Assembly of God. Burial will be at Springtown Cemetery with military honors.

RUBON "R.F." REEVES
Rubon "R.F." Reeves, 86, of Cave Springs, died Friday, August 12, 2011 at Circle of Life Hospice in Springdale.
He was born November 23, 1924 in Wellington, Texas, to Leonard and Doshia Kessee Reeves, the tenth of
twelve children.

Mr. Reeves served in the Army during WWII. After the war he married Paula Booher on June 20, 1947 in Oxnard,
California. He worked in the gas and oil industry for both Richfield (Arco) Oil and Mobil, and later owned and
operated several service stations in California.

As a boy and young man he was a great horseman and loved to ride the sand hills of Wellington. Later in life he
enjoyed water skiing, fishing and camping. He was a member of the First Assembly of God and a dedicated
Christian. He was a faithful husband and loving father, grandfather and great-grandfather. At the time of his
death he resided in the Wellington subdivision in Cave Springs which he developed and named after his
childhood hometown.

He was preceded in death by his parents, five brothers, six sisters, many nieces, nephews, and a grandson,
Bryan Urquhart.

He is survived by his wife, Paula Reeves, of the home; three children, Brenda Nowicki and husband Dennis of
Dallas, TX, Mark Reeves and wife Debbie of Cave Springs, Denise McIntosh of Plano, TX; five grandchildren,
Greg Urquhart, Shawntelle Reeves, Cody Reeves, Ryan Reeves, Jeff Patterson; and five great-grandchildren,
Ashley, Malea, Austin, Lexie and Chase.

Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, August 16, at the funeral home. Funeral services will be 10 a.m.
Wednesday, August 17, at Springdale First Assembly of God with Pastor Bob Fant officiating. Interment will be at
Springtown Cemetery with Military Honors.
