Ernest "Ensty" Served in the US Navy 1920-1922 and a life member of VFW Post #3289. In 1930 He married Bertha Franki in Fergus Falls. They made their home on a farm in Otto Township where they farmed for over 50 years. Ernest also worked for the Northern Pacific Railroad for 17 years. (The New York Mills Herald, April 23, 1992)
