EARLYDAY CITY RESIDENT DIES--
Services for Mrs Gordia Pope Whisnand, 63, of Route 2, will be at 2 pm Tuesday in the Wesley Methodist Church with burial in Rose Hill Cemetery. She died Saturday in Mercy Hospital. Mrs Whisnand was born on a farm on what is now N. Eastern and Britton Rd. She was associated with the Magnolia Petroleum Co 25 years and had been an independent broker and operator the past 15 years.
She was a member of Oklahoma Conservative Artists, The Art Guild, Silver Lake Garden Club, Knife & Fork Club, and Wesley Methodist Church. Survivors include a daughter, Mrs E. A. Kiessling of Washington, DC; a son, M. E. Pope of Kansas City, KS; two sisters, Mrs Rozelia Goodman, 1510 1/2 NW Park and Mrs John Vloedman of Houston. The family prefers that friends wishing to make memorial contributions make them to Oklahoma Medical Research Foundation.
