MORAN — Services for Mrs. Belle Waters, 88, formerly of Moran, will be held Friday at 5 p.m. in First Christian Church here with the Rev. David Williams, pastor of Killeen Christian Church, officiating.


Burial will be in Moran Cemetery under direction of Godfrey Funeral Home of Baird.


Mrs. Waters died Wednesday at 10 p.m. at her home in Killeen.


Born Belle High, Oct. 12, 1878, in Johnson County, she married Lewis Waters here Oct. 1899. She lived in Moran many years before moving to Fort Worth 12 years ago and had lived in Killeen the past two years.


Preceding her in death were her husband, in 1942, and a daughter, Thelma.


Survivors include three sons, Harris of Long Beach, Calif., Warren of Houston and Si of Killeen; a daughter, Mrs. Avis Waters of Fort Worth; four grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
