Mrs. Lizzie Edwards, 72, died at 5:45 a.m. today at her home on Route 1, New Market, after a long illness. Funeral services will be held Friday at 2 p.m. at Rice's Chapel Church and interment will be in the adjoining cemetery. The Rev. Lloyd Dunham will officiate and Laughlin-Service Funeral Home will be in charge of arrangements. Surviving are the widower, John Edwards; four daughters, Miss Jessie Edwards, Route 1, New Market, Mrs. Nannie Lou Hill of Elora, Mrs. Lucile Cramer of Elora, and Miss Geneva Edwards of Route 2, New Market; five sons, Willie Edwards of Huntsville, Jim Edwards of New Market, John Edwards, Jr. of Elora, Ernest Edwards of New Market, and Howard Edwards of New Market; one sister, Mrs. Len Edwards of Maysville; one half-sister, Mrs. Will Johnson; one half-brother, Ollie Pitcock, New Market; Sons will serve as pallbearers.
