Emil was born in February 11, 1868 probably in Bad Tennstedt, Sachsen, Germany the son of Ferdinand Adloff and Wilhelmina (Rost) Adloff. On October 24, 1895 Emil Adloff married Elizabeth Louise List in Springfield. They had 5 children: Oscar Charles (1896-1953?); Alta L. married 1st-Owen A Hiles, 2nd-Harold T. Williams; Beatrice married Harry Miller Schnirring; Hilton E. married Mary -?-. He was buried June 6, 1979 in Inglewood Park Cemetery, Inglewood, California; and Edna May Adloff who married Robert Capellin. Emil H. Adloff was Foreman of the Stereotyping Department of the Illinois State Journal. He died November 30, 1951 and is buried in Oak Ridge Cemetery.
