Catherine McMahan, 81 passed away on August 18, 2011 in Austin, Texas. She was born on March 27, 1930 in Baltimore, Maryland to Andrew Jesse and Mae Collison Yates. She had been a resident of Ingleside, Texas for many years and was a devoted member of Central Baptist Church. She loved volunteering for the Christian Service Center and several area churches.
She is survived by her loving husband, Lynn McMahan of Ingleside, Texas. A son, Jeffery McMahan of Dayton, Texas. A daughter, Cinthia Van Leeuwen of Ingleside, Texas. Three brothers, Donald Yates of Corpus Christi, Texas, Walter Yates of Austin, Texas and Harris Yates of New Braunsfels, Texas. A sister, Georgia Ann Jones of San Antonio, Texas. Seven grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 20, 2011 at the Charlie Marshall Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Tyler Woods officiating. Interment will follow in the Prairie View Cemetery
