MRS. TANKERSLEY DEAD
Mrs. Sallie Tankersley, wife of Mr. Jesse Tankersley, of R.F.D. 1, near London, who contracted tuberculosis following the flu, died last Wednesday, May 28, at 9 p.m., aged 45 years, four months and eight days.
Funeral services were conducted by Dr. Geo. F. Lucas, followed by burial at Union graveyard, Friday morning, which was attended by a very large number of sorrowing friends.
Mrs. Tankersley was a member of the Methodist church, and lived a consistent Christian life, for which she was loved by all.
Besides her husband, she is survived by eight children, Mesdames Augusta Johnson and Martha Hoskins, Misses Annie and Bertha and Messre. Elijah, David, Jonathan and Charles Tankersley.
