Services for G. W. Hickerson, 89, were held in the Chapel of Burk Walker and Tippit funeral home in Tyler, Tuesday, October 5, 1993. His son, Rev. Larry Hickerson, officiated.
G. W. was a native of Lynn County, born in 1909. He lived in the Three Lakes Community and in Tahoka where he finished high school. He farmed in Gaines County near Seagraves where he and his wife, Nan Lois McCalister, whom he married in 1934, raised their two children. Nan passed away in 1974 and he moved to Tyler where he lived for many years.
Survivors include a son, Rev. Larry Dean Hickerson of Brunswick, Ga.,; a daughter, Carol Barham of Houston; seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
