Jim served in the U.S. Army in Hawaii during World War II and was a past Grand Knight of the Knights of Columbus. He was a retired master carpenter.
Jim had a long and good life and will be remembered by everyone who touched his life. Jim was preceded in death by his wife, Helen Ostafy Davis; brothers, Michael and Dominic; sisters, Mary DiCello, Ann Striebeck and Josephine Davis.
Jim is survived by his son, James (Marianne) Davis Jr.; daughters, Joan Brooks, Ann Marie (Dr. Mace) Beckson and Donna Camille Davis; 10 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends 9:15-10 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 16, with funeral Mass following, both at St. Thomas More Catholic Church, 130 N. Pecos Road in Henderson. Burial will follow at Palm Valley View Memorial Park, 7600 S. Eastern Ave. Donations can be made to the Wounded Warriors Project, www.woundedwarriorproject.org
