Veloy was born in Fairview, Utah and attended school in McKinnon and Lyman, Wyo. She received her teaching degree from Brigham Young University. She taught school in Lonetree and McKinnon Wyo.
She married Francis Gregory in Salt lake City on Oct. 16,1932 and their marriage was later solemnized in the LDS Temple in Salt lake City.
A resident of Green River, Wyo. since the 1940's and former resident of McKinnon and Lyman.
She was a member of the LDS Church and served in the Primary, Young Women, and Relief Society.
In addition to her parents Veloy was preceded in death by one son and daughter-in-law, Alma and Bonnie Gregory.
Survivors included:
Daughter, Maxine and husband Dr. John Gosar of Green River Wyo.
Son, Ted and wife Ruth Anne Gregory of Green River Wyo.
She was survived by her husband. He passed away in 2002 in Green River Wyo,
Veloy had 5 brothers; Cleo, Merrill, Dean, Jex, and Clair Terry. She had 3 sisters: Lela Anderson, Mary (Mae) Miner and Beth Cox.
Funeral Services were held at the LDS Church, 1000 West 400 North in Green River.
