Tempe was the daughter of Elijah and Nancy (Hales). Tempe married William Robert Driver, on Jan. 9, 1840. Tempe is reported to be buried along side Co. Rd. 21, on Hopewell Hill, Speed's Mills Community, in Carrollton, Pickens, AL. Her daughter Martha is said to be at her side.

Tempe is reportedly buried roadside, beside her daughter Martha, on Hopewell Hill, Speed's Mill Comm., Carrollton, Pickens Co., Ala. Neighbor's were not sure of exact location of the graves. But, knew of the two graves on Hopewell Hill.
