James "Jim" M. Driver was the eldest son born in 1842, in Carrollton, Al (Speed's Mills Community), to William Robert "Billy" and Temperance "Tempe" Todd Driver.
He served in the: Civil War 19th Alabama Infantry, Company A, Pickens County, Gordo AL., from 1861-1864.
He married Friedericka "Rachel" (Wohlrabe) "Woolrofer" Paschen, in 1876, there were six children born to this union:

Columbus Driver b. 1876 d. 1924
Albert Driver b. 1877 d. 1949
Mary Driver McEuen b. 1877
