Mrs. Gardner, the wife of John E. Gardner, also leaves a daughter, Mary Ann Stewart of Fort Myers, Fla.; two sons, John E. Gardner Jr. of Memphis and James B. Gardner of Washington; a brother, William E. Bailey of Nashville, and five grandchildren. The family requests that any memorials be sent to the Gardner Endowment at Memphis Theological Seminary or New Salem Cumberland Presbyterian Church.
