Mrs. Mary A. Fowler, 78, died at 3:25 o'clock yesterday afternoon at Ball Hospital following a lingering illness. She was born in Licking County, Ohio and had been a resident of Muncie for over 40 years. Mrs. Fowler was the widow of Nelson Fowler.
Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Christina Opperman and Mrs. Goldie Lacey, both of Muncie, and Mrs. Jennie Raines of Holt, Mich.; one son, Cary Fowler, of this city; one sister, Mrs. Ella Webb, of Fort Wayne; 15 grandchildren and fifteen great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted at 3:30 o'clock tomorrow afternoon from the Meeks mortuary, the Rev. Frank S. Kerner in charge. Burial will be in Beech Grove Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after noon today.
