Mrs. Christina E. Opperman, 86, 214 E. 13th St., widow of James T. Opperman, died early Monday afternoon at Ball Hospital following a week's illness.
Born in Van Wert, Ohio, Mrs. Opperman had resided most of her life in Muncie.
She is survived by two sons, Harold and Carey Opperman, both of Muncie; a daughter, Mrs. Pauline Mason, Newport, Ark.; a brother, Carey Fowler, Lansing, Mich.; 12 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren.
Services will be conducted at the Meeks Mortuary at 10 a.m. Thursday with Dr. Robert G. Sulanke officiating. Burial will be in Beech Grove Cemetery. Friends may call at the mortuary after 1 p.m. Wednesday.
