Mary Alice King, 86, of Pinnacle Star Route, Elkins, died September 29 in the Huntsville Memorial Hospital. Born July 11, 1893, in Wesley, she was the daughter of Bud and Vinnie Elkins Lawson. She was a Baptist and was the widow of Elmer King.
Survivors include four sons, Bob, Truman, James and Roy King of Elkins; two daughters, Mrs. Foye Easley of Durham, and Mrs. Fern Teague of Elkins; 24 grandchildren; 42 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren.
Services were at 2 p.m. Tuesday, October 2, in Mount Olive Community Church with the Rev. Johnny Sisemore officiating. Burial was in the Mount Olive Cemetery under the direction of Brashears Funeral Home.
Grandsons served as pallbearers.
