Rev. Josiah Fowler, Sr. was the son of Philip and Esther (Wood) Fowler. Louisa "Lovicy" (Stewart) Fowler was his 1st wife. They were married in 1799 and she died January 11, 1823. They were the parents of Rev. William Fowler. Rosella (Hitchcock) Fowler was his 2nd wife. They were married about 1830 and she died in 1869. He was a minister in the Methodist Episcopal church.
