The second marriage was to Laura (Jaycox) MITCHELL who died in 1847 in Avon Lake, Ohio, and the third to Mrs. Lydia (Bush) DeLAP. He had children with each spouse. Charles was reported to be wealthy and an excellent hunter. He reportedly died of an accidental discharge of his rifle.
