John Gottlieb Lockman was born on Thurs., Aug. 21, 1902 in Butterfield, MN. His birth record lists is middle name as Gotlep and was recorded on Jan. 28, 1903. His mother's name is listed as Hellena Smith age 30 and Henry Lockman age 42.
At the age of 24, Jack married Theresa M. Albrecht on Fri. June 4, 1927. They had two children: John Henry born July 6, 1932 and Kathleen Theresa born June 17, 1944. They lived at 983 Euclid St. St. Paul.
Jack worked in the warehouse at Scheuneman's Department Store (St. Peter & Wabasha streets, in the alley).
He died on Wed. Nov. 12, 1986 from Alzheimer disease at the age of 84.
The funeral Mass was on Sat. Nov. 15, 1986 at 10:00 AM in Sacred Heart Catholic Church. He is buried at Evergreen Memorial Gardens, Mahtomedi, MN.
