Funeral services for Eva Whatley, 83, Tuttle, were held Wednesday, 8/15/1984, in the First Baptist church, Tuttle, with Rev Travis Hanna officiating and Rev Alvin McConnell assisting.
She was born 5/21/1901 in Lincoln, MO, and passed away 8/12/1984 in Oklahoma City. Mrs Whatley came to Oklahoma in 1903 and to Tuttle in 1907. She and Elijah B. Whatley were married 12/18/1931 in Oklahoma City. She was a member of the Rebecca Lodge and the First Baptist church, Tuttle.
Survivors include her husband, Elijah, 2 daughters, Wanda Grove of Del City & Jane Luther of Sherman Oaks, Calif, 1 son, J.W. Stacy of Newcastle, 7 grandchildren, & 7 great grandchildren. Pallbearers were Gary Hefner, Larry Hefner, Randy Hefner, Charles Campbell, Lonnie Whatley, & Eugene Whatley. Interment was in Fairview cemetery under direction of Sevier funeral home, Tuttle.
