ALLENE STRICKLIN, 73, Oneonta, died here Tuesday, Aug. 16, 2011, at TLC Nursing Center. Mrs. Stricklin, widow of Thomas "Tom" Stricklin and daughter of the late Charles Zebedee and Addie Lee Jenkins Williams, leaves many loved ones. Immediate family called her "Mother"; extended family called her "Crick". Besides her husband and parents, she was predeceased by two sisters and five brothers.
Surviving are children Donna (Rowland) Epps, Allgood, Jim (Dollene) Stricklin, Wynnville, Kathy (Dan) Porch, Blountsville, Judy (John) Warden, Jeff (Tracey) Stricklin, and Tammy Stricklin, all of Oneonta; 10 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; brothers Lonzo (Barbara) Williams, Snead, Carl Williams, Cedartown, Ga., and Robert Williams, Douglas; sisters Dicie Price and Charlotte Williams, Snead, and Lucy (Roy) Anderson, Cedartown, Ga.
Bill Barnett conducted services Aug. 19 in the chapel of Snead Funeral Home. Burial was at Wynnville Cemetery, Wade Stricklin, Cody Stricklin, Matt Kent, Tony Williams, Michael Johnson, Ricky Hallman, Scott Williams, and Bruce Williams serving as pallbearers.
