WAGENER - Mr. William Albert Kitchings, 77, entered into rest Thursday, February 22, 2007 at his home.
Mr. Kitchings is survived by his wife of 54 years, Joan Swartz Kitchings, daughters and sons-in-law Doris and John Cameron of West Columbia and Mary and John Boyce of Lexington, son and daughter-in-law William A. "Bubba" and Ann Kitchings of Aiken, grandchildren Jonathan and Amy Cameron, Joanna and Chris Heise, Laura Boyce and Joshua Kitchings, great grandchildren Cameron Heise and Jacob Heise and sister Catherine Metz of Charlotte, N.C.
Mr. Kitchings was born in Aiken County, the son of the late Holley Preston and Opal McLane Kitchings. He was also predeceased by brothers Marvin, Woodrow, Frank, McLane "Dude" and Harold, and sister Lorene Cook. Mr. Kitchings was a veteran of the U. S. Army and a member of Bethcar Baptist Church. He retired from Aiken County.
The Funeral Service will be Saturday, February 24th at 11:00 a.m. in the Bethcar Baptist Church with the Rev. Chris Addy officiating. Mr. Kitchings will be placed in the church one hour prior to the service for viewing. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Bethcar Baptist Church Senior Fund at P. O. Box 546 Wagener, SC 29164. Blizzard Funeral Home is assisting the family.
