Meriwether, Donald E., 5099 Lennon Rd., age 58, died Friday, August 18, 1972, at McLaren Hospital. Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Monday at Mt. Vernon Chapel, Brown Funeral Home, Rev. James C. Powell officiating. Burial in Sunset Hills. Mr. Meriwether will lie in state at the Brown Funeral Home, 1616 Dawson Rd. Visitation from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. Mr. Meriwether was born in St. Francis, Arkansas August 2, 1914 and had been a resident of Flint since 1926. He was a member of Friendship Free Will Baptist Church, and Vernon Masonic Lodge No. 279 F and AM, and was employed by Chevrolet Manufacturing Division for 35 years, retiring in 1969.

Surviving are wife Goldie, 2 sons, Robert D. of [??], Lanny R. of Flint, Bruce D. of Grand Blanche, 8 grandchildren, three sisters, Mrs. Edith Yates, Mrs. Norma Douglas, both of Davison, Mrs. Evelyn Winchester of South Bend, Indiana; brothers William Eugene of Flint; nieces and nephews.
