He was born Jan. 26, 1878 in Sheboygan, the son of Mr. and Mrs. August Landwehr.
On Jan. 28, 1901, he was married to Miss Emma Seibert, and this union was blessed with five children, Otto of near Howards Grove, Reuben of Franklin, Oscar, Mrs. Earl (Lillian) Andrews, and Milton at home. Other survivors are three grandsons, Grover, Oswald and Howard; four sisters, Mrs. Louis Foreste, Mrs. Ida Zelle, Mrs. Otto Maas and Mrs. Christ Gehr, all of Sheboygan; three brothers, Edward, William and August Jr., all of Sheboygan.
For four years after their marriage the couple resided in Sheboygan and in 1905 they moved to Franklin where Mr. Landwehr operated a farm and a barber shop. He was a barber for 40 years.
Private services will be held at the residence Friday and public services at the Immanuel Evangelical and Reformed church in town of Herman. The Rev. C. L. Schmidt will officiate and interment will be made in the church cemetery.
