Funeral services were held for Edith Mae Koonce, Sept 5, at the First Pentecostal Holiness church in Tuttle with Rev Ben Parker officiating.
She was married 10/14/1923 to Guy Koonce in Nashville, Ark and was a homemaker. Her early life was spent in DeQueen, Ark and moved to Cement, OK in 1925, moving later to Tuttle in 1929, where she had lived ever since. She was a member of the First Pentecostal Holiness church in Tuttle. She was preceded in death by 5 brothers.
Survivors include her husband, Guy, 5 sons, Cecil of Tuttle, Guy Jr & Gene of Newcastle, J.L. of Norman, & Bob of Moore, 2 sisters, Opal Deering of Los Angeles, CA, Inez Payne of Keon Valley, Ariz, 14 grandchildren, and 29 great grandchildren. Pallbearers were her grandsons, Paul, Kerry, Stanley, Calvin, Aaron, & Cris Koonce, Jerry Drewery, and Mike Scott. Interment was in Fairview cemetery, Tuttle.
