On Tuesday, November 9th Judy Smith Bauer left this earth to rest peacefully after an extended illness. She was born and raised in Jacksonville and graduated from Englewood High School in 1961. She raised her sons in Gainesville, Florida while working as a paralegal. She moved to Eugene, Oregon for 20 years and then retired back to Jacksonville in 2001.

Judy was predeceased by her parents, Benjamin and June Smith. She is survived by her husband of 29 years; Fred Bauer; sisters, Bonnie Allen (Ron) and Jeanne Collins; sons, Rob Booth (Penny) and Rick Booth; and stepdaughters, Linda West (Mike), Marie Stanley (Bob) and Fredda McNaney (Jim) and her adopted daughter, Renee Seay (Greg).

She had nine grandchildren, Cole Booth (Kim), Samantha Booth, James McNaney, Alexander Smith, Elizabeth Smith, Amy Stanley, Christopher Stanley, Emma Stanley and Charlotte West; and three great-grandchildren, Alexis Booth, Dakota Booth and Mason Booth. She was also adored by her four nieces, Lindy Alfaro, Tresa Chappell, Kelly Collins and Donna McNamara and one nephew, Walter Collins.

Judy attended Mandarin Presbyterian Church. She was a previous member of, Mandarin Newcomers, The Red Hat Club and the Englewood Class of '61 Bunco Club.

Her honorary pallbearers will be Clay Chappell, Tom McNamara, Walter Collins, Paul Curl, Greg Seay, Jamie McNaney, Mike West and Bob Stanley.

She will be missed dearly by her family and friends.

A visitation with the family will be held at Greenlawn Funeral Home Friday, November 12th from 6-8 p.m. Services will be at Greenlawn Funeral Home, officiated by Rev. Dr. Robert Morris on Saturday, November 13th at 10:30 a.m. Arrangements by Greenlawn Funeral Home
