John was the son of Johann Andreas Christoph Reineke b. Oct. 15, 1800 Braunsweig, Germany-d. St. Louis, MO and Anna Dorothea (Schrader) Reineke. He married Loouisa Jane Buckley. They had 6 children Emma Blanche, George Brinton, John Milton, William Justice, Mary Gertrude and Thomas.
