Alma Grooms Rudd, 92, of Ridgeville, SC, widow of Monroe Rudd, died Tuesday, September 6, 2011. Funeral services will be held Thursday morning, September 8, 2011 at Pine Grove Baptist Church at 11 o'clock. Burial will be in Summerville Cemetery.

Friends may call Wednesday evening at PARKS FUNERAL HOME from 6 - 8 o'clock. Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to Pine Grove Baptist Church, 285 Temple Road, Ridgeville, SC.

Mrs. Rudd was born April 28, 1919 in Summerville, SC, a daughter of the late Elijah Washington Grooms and Mamie Jane Tumbleston Grooms. She was a homemaker.

Survivors include four daughters, Doris Moulton of North Charleston, Faye Judy Phillippe and husband Larry of Summerville, Gloria Evans and husband Bill of Summerville, Dianne Carter and husband Wayne of Summerville; one son, Monroe Rudd, Jr. and wife Teresa of Givhans; one brother-in-law, Tommy Smith of Givhans; ten grandchildren and eighteen great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by son, Dalvin Rudd; one granddaughter, Theresa M. Pickles; son-in-law, Jim Moulton; and two grandsons, Mark Carter, Jr and David Randall Rudd.
