Father Emil Hodnik officiated at funeral services for Elmer J. Vandehey, age 78, Abbotsford, on Saturday, September 25, 1976 at 11 a.m. at St. Bernard's Catholic Church, Abbotsford. Burial followed in the Abbotsford Cemetery. Kraut-Maurina Funeral Home in Abbotsford was in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Vandehey passed away at the Continental Manor Nursing Home in Abbotsford on Thursday, September 23.

He was born August 19, 1898 in Halder and was educated in the Loyal area schools. He married the former Fern Greaser on October 27, 1926, in Abbotsford.

Mr. Vandehey worked as a road patrol for Clark County from 1923 to 1928. He then worked for O and N Lumber Company a short while. He farmed in the Town of Hull from 1930 to 1972, when he moved to Abbotsford.

He is survived by his widow; two brothers, Leonard, Auburndale, and James, Abbotsford; three sisters, Mrs. Hazel Rice, Kingsford, Michigan, Mrs. Don (Margaret) Dalberto, Minneapolis, and Mrs. Noe (Nora) Schelling, Abbotsford.
