MRS. NANNIE DORSEY.
[Special Dispatch to the Baltimore Sun.]
Frederick, Md. July 25--Mrs. Nannie Dorsey, widow of the late Grafton D. Dorsey, of Baltimore, died her yesterday afternoon at the residence of her niece, Mrs. Thomas Schley, whom she was visiting. She will be buried in Greenmount Cemetery, Baltimore, on Friday next at 2 o'clock P.M.
Mrs. Martha Matilda Anne Dorsey was about 76 years of age. She was the youngest daughter of Dr. Thomas John Claggett, of Waterloo, Frederick county, Bishop Claggett's oldest son, and she was the last of the grandchildren of the Bishop. Her mother's maiden name was Sophia Martin, a native of Rockville. Mrs. Dorsey lived for many years on Lawyers Hill, at the Relay House, and there her husband, who was a well known Baltimore business man, died about 30 years ago. She was a lovable woman of fine attainments, always active in works of religion and charity and she leaves a large circle of sincere friends to mourn her loss. Up to the time of her death she was very active and traveled around a good deal, dividing her time among her several children. Mrs. Dorsey leaves three sons and one daughter, as follows: Robert Edward Dorsey, now living in Texas; Grafton D. Dorsey and Richard Martin Dorsey, both successful business men in New York, and Mrs. R. Bruce Wallace, of Oak Park, Chicago. All of them, except mr. R. E. Dorsey, who could not be reached in time, were at their mother's bedside when she died.
